It’s been a busy week at work and you’ve just spent the last few hours in the car with the kids asking if you’re nearly there yet. Finally you’ve arrived, you’ve pitched your tent or sited your tourer and just as you sit down to enjoy your first cup of tea the kids want to know where you’re going to take them!

Well fear not! We have done the hard work and compiled a few suggestions for you…

Hardys Animal Farm

Whatever the weather this Half Term, there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained at Hardys Animal Farm! With a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, coupled with different animals for you to meet, feed and make friends with, it really is a great day out for the whole family.

Learn about modern farming and interact with a whole host of different animals in a safe and fun environment, have a game of Pitchfork and Putt, and let the kids run off some steam in Haystacks Play Barn or on the ginormous outdoor Adventure Play Tower.

The Farm is open daily over Half Term from 10am until 5pm (last admission 4pm). Tickets can be bought at 20% off with the voucher on your check-in receipt. They close their doors on the 1st November for the winter season, so make sure you pay them a visit before your holiday ends!

Jump Warriors

For an actioned packed day where the kids can really burn off some energy, look no further than Jump Warriors Trampoline Park on Anchor Lane.

There is more to this fabulous venue than just trampolines! They also house a 1.95 metre high Jump Tower with a huge Air Bag to catch your fall, a Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course, Last Man Standing, Battle Beam and Cardio Wall.

Along with the usual open bounce sessions that they run daily throughout the week, Half Term brings two special Halloween events, Monster Disco Ball on the 25th October at 6pm until 9pm, and Fright Night on the 26th October, 5pm until late.

Fantasy Island

There really is something for the whole family to enjoy at Fantasy Island, from a huge selection of rides and amusements to suit all ages, plenty of great places to eat and drink, and their famous market for all your shopping needs, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

During Half Term Fantasy Island becomes Fear Island! They have pulled out all the stops to bring guests a spooktacular Halloween experience with many new rides, shows and fireworks displays, which will take place on the 16th, 23rd and 30th October. The park opens at 11am until late, and online bookings get a 10% saving.

Skegness Raceway

If you fancy something a little different this Half Term, then Skegness Raceway is the place to be! Located on Orby Road, just a couple of minutes’ drive from Ingoldmells, they are home to a ¼ mile tarmac race track and offer guests the opportunity to witness the best Banger and Stock Car racing in the country.

Sunday 20th October is Racefest, featuring the Skegness Raceway home formulas and the Gold Roof Championships for GT Hot Rods, along with the Junior Rods and the Supreme Championship for 1300 Saloons and the Rookie Bangers. Also in the mix are the Micro Bangers Lincs Championship and Junior Bangers. Racing starts at 1pm sharp with turnstiles opening at 12pm.

And if that isn’t enough, there will be stock car racing, banger racing and Mini Stox Juniors on Thursday 24th October at 7:30pm. Kids 12 years and under go free to all events at the Skegness Raceway, so why not give it a go!
